The second series of BFI workshops ‘Decolonising Film Theory Through Asian Cinema’ was held at BFI Southbank on 6, 13, and 20 February 2024.
Victor Fan, KCL focused on methods originating from Asia; Manishita Dass, Royal Holloway addressed the work of radical Indian filmmaker, Ritwik Ghatak; and Chris Berry, KCL + guest panellists explored questions of truth and public revelation in Chinese documentary.
